The driving force behind ESC is Larry LaFreniere. He has been working hard to make ESC a thriving organization that lives up to its “go the extra mile” battlecry since taking the helm in 1997. A homegrown veteran of the electrical supply industry, Larry has brought together a team of passionate, like-minded people who strive daily to help our customers be more competitive. Here are just a few of them:
John Murch began his career at ESC in 1988 at the age of 15. Upon graduating high school, John took a leave of absence to join the USNR and returned years later to work at ESC throughout college and eventually was promoted to Showroom Manager at 20 years old. Four years later he moved into a position estimating switchgear and then in 1999 was promoted to Branch Manager. John is now the Director of Project Sales for ESC, where he oversees hundreds of jobs big and small.
Dave joined ESC in 2013 as Controller for the Company. He worked closely with the executive team to perform all financial and HR related tasks at both the corporate and branch levels. He was recently promoted to VP of Finance and Administration because of his financial expertise, ability to easily communicate numbers and willingness and enthusiasm for the Company and work in general. Prior to joining ESC, David was an Accounting Manager in the biotech industry and Senior Staff Accountant at a textile company.
Steve McCarthy entered the electrical industry after graduating from the Shawsheen Tech in Billerica MA. He joined ESC at 18 as a truck driver. Steve spent 10 years in Sales and Operations at Independent Electric Supply for 10 years in Sales, Operations, and Purchasing. After 12 years in Inventory Management at Rexel, Steve rejoined the ESC team in 2011 and has held roles as Operations Manager, then Manager of Purchasing and now Vice President of Operations.

After moving back home to Massachusetts, Brian became VP of Sales and Business Development for a bolt-on acquisition, an ESCO-focused Distributor.
